An operating system feature called WorldScript¬, which provides support for single and double-byte character languages like Kanji, was introduced with System 7.1. When entering text with WorldScript II active, some software doesn't see the keys being typed. What this means to you is that hot keys or some other keyboard activity might not work. This problem will most likely be fixed by Apple in the next release of WorldScript II. In the mean time, the Alternate Input Tuner provides a solution to this problem.
The CPU installer will automatically copy this extension in your Extensions Folder if you have installed the WorldScript II and InputBackSupport extensions. If you install the WorldScript extensions at a later time and your CPU hot keys don't seem to work properly, place a copy of the Alternate Input Tuner in your System Folder and restart.
